Q: Will my locks need to be changed out or just a rekey?
A: About 90% of the time, our customers just need their locks re-keyed. This is when we replace some parts inside the cylinder of the existing lock so that the lock remains, but the old key won’t work, and we make a new key. We can change the lock, which means removing an entire knob, lever, or deadbolt, and installing a completely new one.

Mailbox locks do not get rekeyed, instead they are replaced. Whether you have a key or not, we can access your mailbox and install a new lock and provide you with keys. Homeowners are responsible to maintain their own mailbox lock and key. The US Postal Service is not responsible for individual homeowner mailboxes. Q: Will you be able to open my safe without damaging it?
A: Spartan Safe and Lock can open dial safes and keypad safes. We believe in trying to open your safes without drilling. We have special technical equipment to help accomplish this. However, if drilling must be done, we can explain how that is accomplished without damage to your safe, so that the integrity of the safe is intact and can be re-used.
Q: Will you be able to move my safe? What is the maximum weight?
A: Spartan Safe and Lock has special equipment made to move large jewelry and gun safes up to 4,500 pounds. We will transport and install to first floor locations within most of the Southern Nevada area. For second floor installations, longer distances or out of state transportation, please call to inquire.
Q: Do you sell gun safes?
A: We do sell American Security Safes, in small home safe sizes or tall gun safes, and at times we have very good used gun safes, home safes for documents and jewelry, and business depository drop safes for sale. Our prices include delivery and installation and is typically less than purchasing a safe at retail stores or online which do not include delivery or installation.
Q: When can you provide a free estimate?
A: As a locksmith in Las Vegas, we make ourselves available from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, to answer your phone calls or online inquiries. However, if other days or times are needed for actual job scheduling, we try to accommodate you, just ask! We will start work the same day, as soon as you approve the estimate, no need to re-schedule for another time unless special hardware is required.
